CONCEPT
This logo not only displays an apple as a heart, but also displays the act of giving and receiving. The hidden meaning surrounding the apple was the symbolism of Johnny Appleseed—a pioneer who introduced apple seeds/trees to many in the eastern United States. He was known as a kind and generous man who taught people that the apple seed will grow into an abundant source of food. I felt this resonated with the ideals and message of the food pantry.
